PPD


During the summer term of this academic year I completed a project of a business plan for a new PR Agency that supporting upcoming and fresh designers. At the beginning of this project I chose to make a business plan for Moschino to develop a cosmetic department featured for young and trendy customers who are interested in the design concept of Moschino. However, after some research that I made on the current fashion cosmetic market and Moschino’s consumers I realized that it is difficult for Moschino to develop a whole new cosmetic sub-brand that is competitive and does not require huge finance support. As the result, I change to do make a business plan for a new business, which is the ‘Opposite Attract’ PR Agency that I completed. In this situation, I was able to summarize and analyze my process of my research and realized the problems and difficulties on time and figured out solutions effectively. In the process of making this project, time management became a big problem for me because of the change of my decisions at the beginning of this project. The time that I used to research for my previous ideas became a waste and the research materials I made are useless too in relation to my later business plan. Thus, the management of the rest of time that I have left is tight and restricted; however, I managed to complete this project in good quality on time. I used considerable time to learn technical skills such as film making and editing. This assessment required me to make a film about my business; however, I have never had this kind of experience related to this and I realized that the skills I learnt during classes are not enough for me to create a film with good quality. Thus, I found a friend who is studying Time Based Film in Wimbledon College of Art helped and taught me with my film. I believe my working experience with my friend could be very precious in some terms for my future career; because we were making the film in a very limited time and you bumped into a lot of problem caused by professional subject terms. My communication and cooperating skills improved grammatically through this time of working, and it will be very helpful for cross-areas corporations in my future career. Overall, not only the process of this project has given me knowledge and useful experience but also the business plan itself. The PR Agency that is business is purposing is a very practical model, which is very likely and possible to launch in the reality.  I have taken serious consideration and valuations of the current fashion PR market and the business environment, and the result is this ‘Opposite Attract’ PR agency has a lot of opportunities in the industry and could 
be used for my future career.

The Details of PR Agency


My multi-faceted fashion PR agency not only focus on promoting newly graduated designers and fashion bloggers but also provide other related services such as using its website and other platforms to; sort production, manufacturing, management and planning of press releases, sample collection, photo shoots, fashion shows, event general liaison with clients and external publics. The agency will also offer general business and personal support to its clients’ brand image and identity, organizing events and product placement visually online and in publications. The name of my PR agency I named it ‘Opposite Attract’.

The Concept of Project


Continued with my new idea of my multi-faceted fashion PR agency, I ensured this is a good idea to start with because of several reasons. Firstly, there are huge numbers of newly graduated designers from top art school year and most of them will be looking for support to promote themselves in to the industry. Secondly, there are a lot of international designers within these people and their demand of interpersonal connections is desperate, because of the cultural difference and many other circumstances. Furthermore, there are a lot of fashion bloggers looking forward to promote themselves and have the aims of make use of their identities to make profit financially. Therefore, there are many opportunities in thus situations for my fashion PR agency.

Change The Project


Initially, I want to make a business plan for Moschino to develop a cosmetic department featured for young and trendy customers who are interested in the design concept of Moschino. However, after some research that I made on the current fashion cosmetic market and Moschino’s consumers I realized that it is difficult for Moschino to develop a whole new cosmetic sub-brand that is competitive and does not require huge finance support. Thus, I changed my initial ideas and decided to make a business plan for a new public relations company specialized in helping newly graduated fashion designers and promoting aspiring fashion bloggers as well.

Basic Concept of IMP Project


Moschino, the brand was created in 1983 by the late Franco Moschino. The brand consists of several labels: Moschino, Moschino Cheap and Chic, Love Moschino. The collection of Moschino is designed in playful, bold, and jocular way. Their recent collection, such as McDonalds, Barbie, and Bear, leads a new fashion trend; there are so many fashion bloggers, and celebrities have worn it as a street style. They also have produced a series of cartoon Iphone case which is became a icon.



Therefore, it inspired me to develop a Barbie series of cosmetics, like eye liner, eye shadow, BB cream, blush powder, eye browns pencil, mascara, lipstick, brush set and make up bag. They are all designed in Barbie style (as Moschino did). It will be going to target young female who loves pink, cartoon or fashion.
